We’ve been asked “why do you do what you do?”

In 2016 after experiencing postpartum depression for the first time, our founder, , felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to share what she’d learned about overcoming ppd naturally with the world.

At the time, it was a scary idea, one she didn’t feel equipped to carry out. After experiencing ppd again in 2018, Arielle knew it was time to start the work.

She began in 2019 with a podcast - “Defeat Postpartum Depression” (available on all major podcast platforms, yes, this is a shameless plug) which grew into 1:1 coaching and as of October 2021, Defeat PPD is now a nonprofit registered in the state of Georgia.

We do what we do because we know the work is needed and it’s our hearts desire that all come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. He is the One who heals.

So what in the world is Defeat PPD?!

Defeat PPD is a nonprofit ministry dedicated to helping moms heal from postpartum depression and anxiety without medication.

Founded by , our team of Maternal Mental Wellness Coaches provide FREE 1:1 and group coaching services.

Although we aren’t anti-medication, we believe medication should not be our first line of defense against ppd/ppa. It is a bandaid, not a cure.

We believe you can experience long lasting healing through Christ (we’ve seen it happen). Our goal is to simply help you activate the tools you already have within you to live a joyful and fulfilling life.
