INDIE DRUMMER WANTED:
Atlanta-based indie rock band Blueburst is looking for a drummer.

We’re an active, established project with releases out, press coverage, and a growing audience. This is not a “startup band”—we’re already moving with one album released in 2024, and another one in the works.

The band features Marty Willson-Piper (The Church), and we’ve recently worked with Michael Jerome (Richard Thompson, Better Than Ezra), Patrick Ferguson (Five Eight) and Ryan Kelly (Dayroom).
Sound / lane:
Bob Mould, pre-Warner Bros. R.E.M., The Cure, The Church, The La's, post-punk.

What we need:
Strong sense of feel and dynamics
Tasteful, musical playing that serves the song
Solid timing, consistent live performance
Ability to learn parts and lock in quickly

Commitment:
Rehearsals in Atlanta (once a week or more if possible)
Local shows + selective regional gigs
Potential recording and ongoing releases

About you:
Reliable
Experience playing in active bands, recording, or performing live at a consistent level
Ideally coming from an indie/alternative background
Good attitude, collaborative mindset
If you’re interested, drop a link to your playing (video preferred), or DM.

“Don’t tell me what you believe in. Show me how you treat other people and then I’ll know what you what you believe in.”
- James Tallarico

I really believe in this guy and what he’s saying and doing. He got bumped from Colbert last night due to CBS lawyers shutting it down. So this interview is only available on YouTube. I encourage you to watch. Just search Jane’s Talarico and it comes right up.

I could not agree more with his messsge, so I’m gonna break my rules/guideline about not getting political and sewing more division, and declare thst Blueburst fully endorses James Tallarico in his campaign for Senate. Because I think his message has potential to heal division rather than create more.

I know there are some out there who are gonna stop listening to ne due to this, and that’s a bummer, but I’m OK with it. In the words of a horrible country song that I can’t stand, “you’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.”

Lots more non politcal Blueburst news coming later today.
