black owned businesses writers/artists/creators FTW. The next couple days I’ll be shouting out some of my favorites — some that I’ve admired from afar and some that I personally know well.
Today I begin with one of the most profound healing writers I’ve encountered. His writing has touched to the inner parts of my soul in a way that no other writer has ever before. I read his words daily and they are like a salve to my heart. His writings have made me a better wife, mother and human. His healing and freeing words are for all kind - but seem to have a bend towards women and people of color. I’ve quoted him here before, and will continue to do so moving forward with a fierce loyalty and pride in the words that flow from his wisdom. Maybe one day I’ll have the honor of meeting with him in person - but until that magical day comes, I’ll continue to position myself at his digital feet to learn and grow.
