Six years ago, I was hit with two shocking pieces of news. I was told that I was no longer needed in my cushy corporate job, and two days later — I was told I had cancer.

The truth is we all invest our time and attention into building a product/service, but many times we are frustrated when it's not selling fast enough, and sales cycles are unpredictable and 'lumpy' at best.

1) You need a market niche. You cannot serve 'all' industries and all niches. Chase ONE rabbit.

2) Social Selling is real. No matter if you're a small biz owner or a CEO of a billion-dollar organization, your profile and content have to speak to your niche.

3) Always lead with education and helping your target market.

Every sale is a journey. Before you become a customer, whether you realize it or not, you go through an intentional and planned sales funnel.

A sales funnel consists of the different stages a customer goes through leading up to their purchase.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:

1. reading an article
2. joining your group
3. watching a webinar
4. attending a workshop

The key here is to realize that not everyone is at the same point.

It's your job, as a technology , to give your prospects fuel to move along the funnel toward a purchase.

𝗔 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝟯 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀:

Top of Funnel = "awareness" stage, where people are looking for answers, resources, education, research data, opinions, and insight.

Middle of Funnel = "evaluation" stage, where people are doing heavy research. Trial offers or webinars events are good here.

Bottom of Funnel = "purchase" stage. Customer references & testimonials are good here.
