Progression is NLC Atlanta's annual chapter fundraiser on June 11 at Salesforce Tower in Buckhead. The 2026 Fellowship year is closing and this class leaves it better than they found it. Jemila Mitchell has been doing that her entire career.
As Director of Regional Impact at LEE, Jemila supports more than 2,000 members to step into organizing, advocacy, policy, and elected leadership roles across Metro Atlanta. A former math teacher and Teach For America corps member, she approaches her work with a firm belief that those closest to injustice must guide the solutions. A proud Howard University graduate with Caribbean roots, she is known for curating joyful, reflective gatherings that spark collective action.
