ERP is an acronym for Exposure Response Prevention, a substance abuse treatment where a person is exposed to simulated versions of the drug they are addicted to, whether it’s alcohol, hallucinogens, he**in, ma*****na, or crack co***ne, just to name a few. ERP Therapy teaches self control, helps to build confidence, and helps wean a person off of their want and need to use the drug.
