Join Wylde Center Executive Director Stephanie Van Parys at Oakhurst Garden on Thursday, July 16 for Planting Your Second Summer Vegetable Garden, a hands-on Learn Wylde workshop where you'll discover what vegetables, herbs, and flowers thrive when planted this time of year.

You'll learn what to grow, when to plant, and how to keep your garden productive into the cooler months. Plus, you'll sow seeds during class and take home plants to help you get started right away.

Whether you're planting your first garden or looking to extend the season, you'll leave with practical knowledge, fresh inspiration, and everything you need to keep growing.

Discover the incredible bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators that help our gardens and ecosystems thrive. Enjoy live music, native plant vendors, educational exhibits, free face painting, family activities, local mead, and more—all while learning how you can make a difference for pollinators right here in your own backyard.

Join us for Shoots & Sprouts: Painting in the Garden, a free family activity day at Oakhurst Garden on Saturday, July 11, from 10 AM–12 PM.

We'll have a variety of fun painting stations where children can experiment with different artistic styles, get creative, and be inspired by the beauty of the garden. It's the perfect morning for preschool and elementary-aged kids—and everyone is welcome!

Admission is free, but if you know you're coming, we'd love for you to RSVP so we can have plenty of art supplies ready.
