I paid for a “professional sink install” and ended up with this weird little plastic trombone situation under my vanity… plus a random can of glue just sitting there like the plumber dipped mid-job.
He really tried to sell it as some “sleek, modern setup,” which is a wild way to describe a drain that looks like it was thrown together with spare parts and pure confidence.
The off-center bend, the short connection—everything about it just screams “good enough, I guess.” And now I get to live with the daily anxiety that one aggressive hand wash is gonna turn my cabinet into Splash Mountain.

I am absolutely furious right now. We had a minor backup in our basement so I called an emergency plumber who quoted me $1,800 to replace a collapsed line. I went downstairs to check his progress and found this giant hole bashed into my floor. He literally just clamped a piece of black plastic between the old pipes with rubber bands and metal hose clamps! He did not even use glue or solder! When I demanded to know why he was using cheap temporary rubber fittings for a permanent under slab repair he told me it was an industry standard slip joint. Industry standard?? It looks like a DIY hack job from a teenager. He left his dirty towel and a sharp razor blade right on my floor and vanished for a lunch break. Am I overreacting for canceling the check and refusing to let him back in my house?

I’m sitting here pulling into Family Dollar and I genuinely had to do a double take… because WHAT is this setup?
This guy is driving a full-size truck… pulling what looks like an 18-foot trailer… just to haul a single lawnmower. One. Lawn. Mower.
I’m sorry but at what point does this stop making sense? You’re telling me that entire trailer couldn’t be replaced by just putting the mower in the bed of the truck like a normal person? Now you’re taking up half the lot, swinging wide like you’re hauling construction equipment, blocking people trying to get in and out over something that could fit in the back with room to spare.
And before anyone says “maybe there’s a reason”please explain it, because from where I’m sitting this just looks excessive for absolutely no reason.
Some people just do the most for no reason at all.

I’m beyond irritated right now because why am I stuck behind a giant red tractor crawling down a public road in the middle of the day like this is perfectly normal??
This thing is taking up nearly the entire lane, moving at a snail’s pace, backing traffic up, and forcing everyone behind it into a dangerous guessing game of whether it’s even safe to pass.
And I’m sorry, but how is this allowed?
Public roads are for regular traffic moving at regular speeds — not oversized farm equipment turning the roadway into an obstacle course.
All it takes is one impatient driver trying to get around it, one car misjudging distance, one bad turn… and now you’ve got a serious accident because somebody decided their tractor belonged in rush-hour traffic.
If you need to move equipment that large, tow it.
Use a trailer.
Do it when roads are empty.
But driving a rolling hazard directly through public traffic like everyone else just has to deal with it is unbelievably inconsiderate.
Some people truly act like because they own giant machinery, the normal rules of safety no longer apply to them.
Yes, I reported it.
Because this should not be considered acceptable.

I understand restaurants need time to clean, finish service, cash out, and let the kitchen close properly. Nobody expects to walk in at 9:58 and order a full dinner. But if the sign says you close at 10pm and you stop seating people at 8pm, that feels like the real closing time is 8pm and the extra two hours are just for people already inside.
Maybe I’m wrong, but as a customer I feel like “open until 10” should mean I can still come in somewhat close to 10. If the cutoff is two full hours earlier, shouldn’t the posted hours just say 8pm?
Am I being unreasonable, or is this confusing? 🤨🤨🤨

Why not tipping when dining in is the best solution to end tipping
It seems like a lot of people get confused as to why endtippers still eat at sit down restaurants that expect a tip.
Well, what are the options and the most likely outcomes?
Legislation:
I am not a law maker, nor do I even plan to be. In states where laws have been put to a vote reform hasn't happen. If there was a law to end tipping I'd vote for it though.
Just stay home:
I usually do, and I prefer it actually. However, sometimes people want a change or just to do something different for example.
Tips are optional. When prompted to tip no one if forced to tip. In other words, it's my right to not tip.
If a majority stops dining out not only will the servers lose their jobs but all supporting jobs will also be lost.
Only support no tipping restaurants:
I'd gladly pick a no-tip establishment but short of fast food no local options exist.
Then just get take out:
Cold food packed into a to go container, no thanks.
More diners are optting for takeout and as a result many restaurants have started tacking on tips to take out orders.
The solution:
Dine where ever and however you like and do not tip.
We need the servers on our, people who dine in and tip are preventing employers from needing to pay living wages. As someone in this sub pointed out:
The first $5 of tips per hour keeps $5 in the employer's pocket. If there are no tips then the employer cannot only pay the employee the lower tipped wage rate.
As soon as servers stop being able to rely on tips making up the majority of their pay they will join the fight to end tipping too.

I’m actually in disbelief… I told my parents my dream truck was a Silverado, not even asking for anything crazy, just a solid full-size, and they pull up with THIS like I’m supposed to be hyped?? I don’t care how “reliable” everyone says these are, this is not what I asked for, this is the complete opposite direction… single cab, tiny bed, looks like it came straight out of a time capsule and not in a good way, and now I’m the one who has to drive around explaining why I didn’t get what I specifically said I wanted… they keep saying “it’ll last forever” like that makes up for the fact it has zero presence, zero authority, and zero of the image I was trying to build… this was supposed to be a statement piece and instead I got something that looks like a starter pack for yard work… at this point it honestly feels like they just ignored everything I said and picked the safest, most boring option possible and now I’m expected to act grateful like this didn’t completely miss the mark.

Got this tattoo this month and unfortunately I’m not thrilled with it at all. The whole experience has left me with anxiety. The line work is not great and there are areas where it’s experiencing blow out and many areas where parts of the ants where not even added. Tell me if I’m cooked fam. I very much am wanting to have it covered which makes me sad because I loved the idea behind this tattoo but I figured I could just get it done from another artist on the other knee. Not sure if it’s even salvageable or if covering it would be difficult.

TO THE NEIGHBOR RETURNING MY DOG’S P**P TO MY DOORSTEP — THIS NEEDS TO STOP.
I don’t know what point you think you’re making, but leaving dog waste on someone’s porch isn’t funny—it’s disrespectful and completely out of line.
If there’s an issue, handle it like an adult. Knock on my door. Say something. Don’t sneak around and use my front step as a message.
And just so we’re clear—I’m not guessing. I have cameras. I can see exactly what’s happening, so this isn’t going unnoticed.
I’ve already started reporting it, and if it happens again, I’ll take it further. I’m not interested in going back and forth—I just want it to stop.
We share this space. That means basic respect.
So let’s keep it simple: bring any concerns directly to me, or be prepared for this to be handled the proper way.

I AM LITERALLY SHAKING. I just paid $12,500 to finish my basement and walked downstairs to find my walls looking like a giant green and white zebra....
The lead guy told me this is “industry standard” and just the first coat, but I hired professional finishers—not a kindergarten art project. I told him to sand it all down and redo it with a proper smooth finish or I’m calling the police for theft of service...
Am I overreacting, or is this absolutely unacceptable for a “premium” renovation?!????
