The More For Atlanta mission is to distribute surplus food, clothes, goods, and provide temporary housing and services to people in need in the greater-Atlanta community. Each week, More For Atlanta' volunteers collect food and clothing donations from various vendors. The donations are used to fill boxes on Saturday morning, which are then delivered anonymously to families in need. FoodMore boxes
include fresh fruit, vegetables, breads and pastries, flowers, coffee, dry and canned goods and proteins. Our FoodMore boxes delivered at Thanksgiving and Christmas include complete holiday meals with turkey, ham, and all the fixings.

Our Anonymous Good Program facilitates the practice of giving one person's surplus anonymously to another person who may benefit by the gift. For example, acts of anonymous good may include provision of anonymous financial help by a person or company on behalf of a Sanctuary guest or an Atlanta family who may be in desperate need of dental or medical services. Other examples of anonymous good include arranging for a new mattress for an elderly couple, sending a homeless child to summer camp, paying a heating bill for a family burdened with bills, and much more.

Our Sanctuary Program provides temporary housing to women, children and the elderly who seek relief from homelessness, and it offers guests a chance to rest, regroup, and make arrangements for their future in a supportive atmosphere. Our Sanctuary Program is unusual in that it is a family residential environment. Guests have 24-hour access to their rooms and have full use of the common laundry area, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Temporary housing is given to our guests without expectation of work or services of any kind. Guests are only required to follow basic rules of civility and lawfulness.
