The best feeling in the world is not having to relive what I went through the first time.

I didn’t get this with my first son. I missed moments I can never get back. I had to fight just to be seen, just to be heard, just to be a father. I dealt with being pushed out, overlooked, and treated like I didn’t matter in my own child’s life.

So this right here hits different.

Being there when my son was born. Having a voice. Being respected as a father. Being able to show up without resistance and actually experience every moment the way it’s supposed to be.

It’s not something I take for granted, because I know what it feels like to have it taken from you.
