Today makes 10 years without you, and your presence still finds me every day. I catch myself asking, what would you say? what would you do? how would you handle this? I look for you in moments big and small, especially when life asks me to be brave, patient, or steady.
You’re not here in the ways I wish you were, but you’re here in all the ways that matter. I feel you spiritually, constantly. In my instincts. In my convictions. In the quiet nudges that remind me who I am and who I’m becoming. Every day, I try to live in a way that would make you proud. I try to be everything you hoped for me.
We miss you so much. Me, Mom, and Patrick carry you with us in everything. We love you endlessly!

My Pop Pop went to glory yesterday. 93 years of an incredible life well lived. He was the epitome of a provider, an anchor, and a steady source for our family. A man who loved being outdoors and moving his body, my granddad would walk up to three miles a day and still make time to tend to his happy place, his yard lol.

But more than anything, he was a man of deep character. He was honest, steady, dependable, and full of strength. Men like him are rare these days. A man of God who knew his Savior and Lord, and whose life reflected that truth every single day.

We’re going to miss him deeply, but we rejoice knowing he’s resting in perfect peace. I know my dad and his siblings greeted him with big love. Like we said every time we got off the phone with each other, “Peace, Love, All the time, Every time, Any time, and until Next time” 🤍

idk y’all… I think I’m ready for this half marathon. a little over a month out. 💪🏾

This story centers a voice we don’t hear enough in the world of musical theatre. The world of HBCUs, young Black joy, struggle, love, and purpose belongs on stage. And this musical says it unapologetically!

Getting to sing alongside friends and artists i’ve looked up to for so long on this reminded me why I love musical theatre so deeply.
