Simple scenes of fields: one being worked & utilized by man, the other left to grow up wild & colorful. Both beautiful, both inspired by my recent time in Brasstown, NC.

These are framed in a scalloped wood oval, 4”x6” and ready to join your collection.

Driving through rural places is always inspiring to me. I often feel frustrated when I can’t pull over to take reference photos at every turn because there’s no shoulder or it’s private property. I have to do my best to remember the scene so I can recreate it later. I could needle felt fields, barns, and distant mountains all day long, and there were plenty of those in Brasstown, NC on my recent trip.

I don’t include livestock in my work very often but I had to try for at least one piece because Brasstown is famous for its beef!

All pieces from the new collection are available online.
