VIP extends the academic design experience beyond a single semester, with students participating for up to three years. It provides the time and context to learn and practice professional skills, to make substantial contributions, and experience different roles on large multidisciplinary design/discovery teams.

to last week when many of our VIP students gave final presentations about their progress this year. For example, the AI Makerspace Nexus students presented about their work on developing tools and services to democratize access to the AI Makerspace across campus and the state. Some of these innovations will soon be launched campus-wide, making it easier to integrate the AI Makerspace into classrooms, and to teach AI/ML to any campus member.
