Let's check out the Arabia Mountain PATH ⤵️

🌳Description: Greenway trail weaving through Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.

🌳Nearby Attractions/Trails: Stonecrest Mall, AWARE Wildlife Center, Monastery of the Holy Spirit, Panola Mountain Greenway, South River Trail

🌳​​​Major Parking/Access Points: Stonecrest Mall, Stonecrest Library on Klondike Road, Arabia Mountain Nature Center, and Vaughter’s Farm

🌳Distance: 23.29 Miles

The Arabia Mountain PATH serpentines through wooded valleys lined with wildflowers and incredible granite outcroppings while connecting Lithonia, Stonecrest Mall, the Arabia Mountain Nature Center to Panola Mountain State Park. It is a bit hilly so bring your energy bar along.

The trail visits the historic ruins of the granite quarry in mile 4 before crossing several creeks and a large wetland. Everybody's favorite place to hang out is Alexander Lake which the trail encircles.

Trail construction crews have been busy around Newnan High School recently getting the curb and gutter installed which will create the framework for updated student parking and the new LINC-13 multi-use trail project!

It will be a busy summer in order to get this ready for students returning in early August!

The City of Columbus built an extraordinary 12 mile-long greenway trail paralleling the Chattahoochee River over the past 18 years. PATH has helped the city connect citizens from nearby neighborhoods to the Riverwalk with family friendly connections to the Fall Line Trace rail trail and the trail alongside MLK Boulevard.

The Columbus Dragonfly Trail System contains high quality trails with few hills and a fair amount of trail amenities. Views from the Riverwalk are breathtaking.
