"They traveled together to the south of Israel, where a production team had created a mock “home” — four disconnected walls sheathed in black nylon and filled with furniture. To crank up the entire production team’s emotions, Mr. Pitts and Mr. Maaravi were dropped off about half a mile from the site and had to hike, without directions or a map in the biting morning cold, in order to find the set.

For its Atlanta OPENING, we'll undress the backstage of Atlanta Symphony Hall into a dynamic research environment for immersive art practices...BLACK VELVET aims to reflect on the colorfulness of blackness in a relationship of love, compassion and camaraderie.
