✨ The future of healing is already here. ✨
One of the most powerful moments of The Untold Story of Juneteenth came from the young people of Chapel of the Cross in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who shared moving reflections from their recent Civil Rights Pilgrimage.
Over the past three weeks, the Absalom Jones Episcopal Center for Racial Healing has journeyed alongside these students through our Pilgrimage of Racial Healing framework—inviting them to respect human dignity, realign their lives with their values, and restore communities rooted in justice and hope.
Their courage, curiosity, and willingness to engage difficult history with honesty and compassion inspired everyone in the room.
Thank you to these remarkable young pilgrims, and to their chaperones, Rev. Karen and Rev. Elizabeth, for reminding us that racial healing is not only about remembering the past—it is about equipping the next generation to shape a more just future.
We are grateful to walk this journey with you.
