Hello!
Our next meeting will be Tuesday, February 6 at 6:00 pm in Howey S204. We will discuss tips and tricks for studying for the GRE. Afterwards, we will have officer elections for Events Coordinator.
Responsibilities for the Events Coordinator include:
-Plans and executes events and activities
-Garners interest in club activities and ensures member participation
-Advertises events outside of the club to gain student involvement
If you plan on running, please prepare a brief statement on why you believe you are qualified for this position.

Here's some info about the new VMCAS system from Francisco Castelan, our Pre-Health advisor!
Are you applying this cycle? The essays will be changing for this upcoming summer 2018 application cycle.
Important changes you need to know about the VMCAS 2018 Personal Essay Prompts:
1. The existing personal statement for veterinary medicine has been retired
2. Three new questions will be implemented for this cycle, each requiring 1,000 characters each.
3. The prompts are as follows:
a. There are many career choices within the veterinary profession. What are your future career goals and why?
b. In what ways do veterinarians contribute to society and what do you hope to contribute?
c. Considering the breadth of society we serve as veterinarians today; what attributes do you believe are essential to be successful within the veterinary profession? Of these attributes, which do you possess and how have you demonstrated these in the past?
