In 1981, when the very first cases of HIV/AIDS were reported in the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Robert Capparell completed his training in Infectious Diseases at the University of Kentucky. He began to practice Infectious Diseases at both Saint Joseph's Hospital and Northside Hospital, located in Atlanta, GA that very year. Blass, a fourth generation native of Atlanta in 1999, and Georgia Infectious Diseases, PC took on its name. Rounding out our trio of physicians is our most recent associate Dr. Margaret Williamson who joined our practice in 2004. After nearly three decades, in July 2009, Dr. Capparell retired from the practice of medicine. In August of 2014 our practice welcomed Dr. Ronald Trible. This was followed by the addition of two nurse practitioners, Brooke Drucker, NP in December of 2017, and Olivia Mazzolini, NP in December of 2019. In July of 2021, we welcomed our newest physician, Dr. Lindsay Morrison to our practice. While most referrals to our practice begin with a request from a primary care physician, we welcome your inquiries into our practice.
