JUDGE RULES HBCU PRESIDENT DR. HEIDI ANDERSON LAWSUIT AGAINST A MAGA SUPPORTER CHALLENGING HER CREDENTIALS WILL NOT BE DISMISSED!

Good morning from Somerset County Circuit Court on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I’m pleased to report that the judge denied both defendants motion to dismiss our case this morning.

A woman named Donna Satterlee falsely accused our client Dr. Heidi Anderson, the president of HBCU’s Univ of Maryland Eastern Shore of plagiarism on her PhD, written over 40 years ago after she was allegedly denied a promotion at the school.

So we sued for a million dollars and added a second defendant, Sandeep Gopalan, who is an attorney and professor at the college engaging in similar retaliatory actions against President Anderson.

Historically, this tactic of attacking our leadership, has costed many Black female presidents their jobs when you raise credibility issues and challenge their dissertation from decades ago. For example, Dr. Gay at Harvard lost her presidency.

Well, today the judge denied their motions to dismiss and for summary judgment and allowed our case to proceed forward.

They now have 30 days to answer. Thanks to the whole team and Dr. Anderson for standing up for herself. Thanks Randy Evan McDonald, my brilliant co-counsel, and Howard graduate and associate Paul Wilson, who has helped me with this case.
