Happy Juneteenth Sconnet Babes! On this day, let us remember the sacrifices and struggles of those who fought for freedom and equality. We still have work to do, but today, we celebrate progress and hope for a better future.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes with interviewing and . These episodes reminded me how much our hair journey impacts our overall lives and our definition of beauty. Realizing that many of our beliefs about hair were ingrained in us from familial practices like getting your hair straightened when going to church or someplace nice. The thought that we had to suffer through hot combing sessions, relaxer burns and curler scabs to be cute. Remembering that as a child my hair was too thick to deal with and a relaxer made it more manageable. God if I knew then what I know now!

I'm so excited that we are now in a season where different hair textures and styles are being embraced. Women are creating their own definition of beauty and truly loving every kink and curl that grows out of their beautiful heads. The focus on overall health, including hair health, is making tremendous strides and I am here for it!

Definitely looking forward to the next episode!
