Georgia Justice Project
Georgia Justice Project (GJP) strengthens our community by demonstrating a better way to represent and support individuals in the criminal justice system and reduce barriers to reentry.
Yesterday at the Georgia State Capitol, GJP joined advocates, partners, and supporters as Governor Kemp signed HB 162 into law — a major step forward in modernizing Georgia’s First Offender Act.
This legislation will help ensure that successfully completed First Offender sentences remain sealed, expanding access to housing, employment, and opportunity for countless Georgians.
We’re proud to celebrate this moment and the collaboration that made it possible. Stay tuned for resources and information about what HB 162 means for impacted communities across Georgia.
