Maternal well-being has been linked with perfectionism. Research shows that mothers with perfectionistic traits have more difficulty adjusting to parenthood and are at greater risk for developing a maternal mental health condition.

Be mindful of perfectionistic self-talk and instead pause for a breath of self-compassion and acceptance, then proceed.
