her Bachelor's of Science from the University of Georgia and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her residency training at the University of Florida-Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Anderson stays busy running the practice and raising her two children, Tessa and Toby, with her husband. Dr. Rebecca Simonsen is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Atlanta native who earned her Bachelor's of Science in Applied Biology from Georgia Tech University (Go Yellow Jackets!). She attended medical school at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington and completed her residency training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Simonsen has two children and enjoys nights with the family and being involved in her community. She loves serving women in all stages of life and we are proud to have her as a part of our team since 2010. She began her career with 15 years of experience as a nurse in women's health specialties including high risk obstetrics and gynecology. She later graduated from Emory University with a Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery. Lisa and Dr. Anderson have known each other and worked together for 13 years. Lisa is passionate about women's health, and encourages women of all ages to participate and explore all options regarding their wellbeing.
