We are inspired to help integrate and lovingly welcome marginalized groups back into their respective communities by focusing on community restoration, stabilization, and progression using "neighborhood" dynamics within the Greater Atlanta Area.

Education is key to building supportive communities. We have to put time and effort into teaching people how to be true allies to the LGBTQIA community. It can be hard to understand one another due to differences in language and culture! To help, we've created a guide that’s trauma informed and culturally sensitive for personal, peer, and organizational education. This is our narrative shift work in action. Consider how you can be a good neighbor and inclusive of q***r folks in your community.

Join us online for a Cultural Organizing Workshop on Monday, Dec. 11 at 6pm CST/7pm EST.

This workshop will feature Cultural Organizing program participants from Highlander’s 2023-24 programming year who have been assessing their work with Highlander since the revitalization of the Cultural Organizing program in 2019 and scheming about what our futures can look like.

Join us in skilling up in Highlander’s Cultural Organizing methodology and share space with our community members who are practicing the methodology with CO tools from all over the region as they answer: “What is the recipe for culture in this time?” and “what has been catalyzed since using the tools?”
