Mama Leaned In

I suffered with mom guilt a few times over the course of motherhood and continue to at various times to this day. The most recent time is now (well yesterday 🙃) where I had to release it to Jesus and be real with myself in regards to sending to Phoenix off to school.

I am not my friends, I am not what I thought I would be “the best home schooling mom ever” , rather I am ME- perfectly me. I have things to do, work to get done, relationships to build and a legacy to be made that requires me to have the time needed to invest in it all. AND quite honestly- Phoenix is sooo ready to be around other kids and learn what I can’t teach him at home.

I feel free to get back to what God has put on my heart (in addition to mothering), and it feels great!!

Shout out to all the parents who know their bandwidth and what works for them AND feels good about it!! To those struggling with this- shout out to you too!! Just release and give it to God!! Be real with yourself and let go of the false expectations put on you.

No matter how much space they have, somehow they always find a way to be right on top of each other - whether it be the same toy, chair, cup, etc., they are always so close.

At this age it’s not always so sweet lol, most times these days this closeness ends in someone wanting what the other has , tears or “mama!!!”. But it’s still so beautiful to watch. So grateful for these babies and their bond.

September is a very special month for me. Not just because it’s my birth month, whoop whoop, it’s also our anniversary month… the month we wed and truly formed our union that lead us to having these two beauties.

Childhood is important as it is what shapes you, not defines you, but shapes you. It takes work to either stay in that shape or reshape.

I pray this bond lasts forever 💕 and only gets more solidified each day.

Now that little man is one, we are out to have some fun! Excited for all the trails, roads, and sidewalks we will ripple on 💕.
