My five-year-old son Max was so excited about having a sister. My husband and I did everything to prepare him for it. We explained how the baby might cry a lot and how we would need to spend a lot of time taking care of his little sister. He was fine with that. When my husband brought him to the hospital, Max was over the moon when he saw his sister for the first time.
However, when we came back home, everything changed. He lost all interest and started treating his sister like a stranger. I asked him what was wrong and why he didn't want to play with his sister. He answered:
"This is not my sister. I know it. I saw them do it."
