Atlanta Fire Rescue along with Cobb County Fire Rescue in reaponse to a report of two men stranded on the Chattahoochee River near the Paces Mill Boat Ramp around 10 PM Saturday night.
A multi-agency effort-- incl. Cobb Swift Water Rescue, APD's Phoenix helicopter unit, along with assistance from civilian company ODI Engineering's thermal drone unit We're used to help locate the 2 stranded individuals in heavy fog. Both were safely rescued Just before Midnight. No injuries.
Tips
Don't stay out after dark.. plan ahead and make sure you have plenty of time to get off the river after sundown
