We know some employees must drive despite inclement weather. If your team is on the road today, share these quick reminders to help reduce risk and prevent accidents:

• Stay calm and avoid sudden movements
• Ease off the accelerator
• Steer gently into the skid
• Avoid slamming the brakes
• Know your brakes:
– ABS: steady pressure (pulsing is normal)
– Standard: gently pump

1️⃣ Stay calm
Sudden reactions can make a skid worse. Staying composed helps drivers regain control.

2️⃣ Ease off the accelerator
Do not accelerate. Allow the vehicle to slow naturally until traction improves.

3️⃣ Steer into the skid
If the vehicle slides left, gently steer left. Avoid sharp or overcorrecting movements.

4️⃣ Avoid slamming the brakes
Hard braking can lock wheels and increase loss of control.

5️⃣ Know your brakes
• ABS brakes: Apply firm, steady pressure. Pulsing is normal.
• Standard brakes: Gently pump to prevent wheel lock-up.
