👩🏾‍🏫 I was going through items today and I always knew I had these but I was reminded today that I was trained to be a financial educator as a college student at Albany State University💛💙🐑. As a member of SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) currently Enactus, I was fortunate to be a part of this training in Spring 2008. I remember as a kid saying I wanted to work either as a financial planner or accountant (I still have the magazine article about a financial planner I wrote about in 8th grade). I went on to work as a staff accountant (2009-2014) for a brief period and later received a Master's in Accounting and Financial Management in 2013 but never was able to get back into that field so I just focused on my other passions, education and writing. For years, I thought my degree was in vain because I wasn't working in Accounting not realizing that financial literacy never left me and I am an educator whether I am writing, working with K-12 students, helping the general public, or offering tips/sharing financial goals with friends. Seeing this certificate and online curriculum confirmed my ignited passion for financial literacy and helping others.

💭No matter your detours in life, you will always be redirected to your purpose and passions.
