This Moment Matters!

From June 16 to November 3...my neighbors and fellow Georgians in Columbia and Richmond Counties…We stand at a crossroads right now. This week isn’t just another election, it’s about who we are and what kind of future we’re willing to fight for. On Tuesday, June 16th, we have a critical runoff in Georgia’s 12th Congressional District. I’m proudly endorsing Ceretta Anita Smith to be our next voice in Washington.

Then, bright and early on Wednesday, June 17th, the Georgia Legislature goes into special session on redistricting🗺. This is serious. Our communities in Columbia and Richmond Counties are growing, especially our Black and diverse neighborhoods. We cannot allow maps that dilute our voices or crack our communities apart. Fair representation isn’t a favor — it’s our constitutional right.🙅🏾‍♂️

Strong dem opportunity districts helped us make progress✊🏿✊🏻, and we must protect and expand that power, so every family has a real seat at the table. Racial equity🫱🏻‍🫲🏿 in our democracy means every vote counts equally and every neighborhood matters. This fight doesn’t stop with Congress. It flows straight down to our State House. I’m all in it for Georgia House District 127 in November as your next representative, I will carry this same energy, pushing for housing you can afford, stronger schools and child protection, real economic growth that doesn’t just line the pockets of the greedy, and policies that put working people first.

AMAG is only about rejecting greed and bigger than one seat or one day. It’s about showing up consistently, relentlessly, and ruthlessly with compassion. We all sacrifice now so we all can enjoy life again later. Bring your people!

We zoned in on policy priorities, and my community-focused vision as a first-time candidate. I opened up about my personal story with practical plans for the district covering parts of Columbia and Richmond Counties.

-Affordability and Cost of Living: Immediate plans in my first year to tackle rising costs💪🏾 This includes working on fuel/gas solutions, infrastructure priorities, partnering with grocery stores for affordable food options, and helping families avoid choosing between gas and groceries.

-Housing Costs and Stability: Addressing rising prices while protecting long-term residents from displacement. Proposals included better legislative protections for first-time buyers, shifting toward more affordable options like townhomes, improved renter protections, and fixing miscommunications in assistance programs.

-️Protecting Children and Education: Emphasis on safe environments, stronger support systems, and opportunities for the next generation.

-Economic Growth: Building pathways for local businesses, job creation, sustainable development, and keeping wealth in the community.

This campaign was always positioned on "real people, real challenges, and real solutions" rather than broad federal issues. I am laser focused on tangible local impact like family stability, child safety, and economic opportunity.
