At The Effective Syndicate, we don't just talk about transparency; we live it. Recently, I was hiring for a role, and instead of going through the back-and-forth of traditional offers, I decided to try something different. I sat down with the candidate, and together, we co-wrote his job offer.
Why? Because I wanted him to feel truly welcomed, to know I value collaboration, and to skip the endless negotiation loop. By being radically transparent from the start, we avoided wasted time, and when he got the offer, he had already accepted it—because he helped create it.
That’s what radical transparency looks like in action.
