We believe that people who know what is in their air, water, and soil, gain the power to protect it.

That’s why, in 2025, E2I2 established partnerships with 6 additional community-based organizations, providing more data and technical expertise to enhance people-led solutions against environmental and climate hazards in the U.S. South, and beyond.

This Earth Day, help us continue delivering upon our mission to make data accessible and actionable for the people that need it most.

The repeal of the 2009 endangerment finding formally removes the scientific and legal basis for established environmental regulatory frameworks, such as the Clean Air Act, and eliminates emission control standards for vehicles. Deregulation does not change our shared climate reality.

We join environmental and public health organizations across the country in emphasizing that removing the legal obligation for federal actions against greenhouse gas emissions will have adverse, long-term impacts on public health and quality of life, and will only benefit the short-term interests of the fossil fuel industry.

Evidence overwhelmingly supports the lived realities of our community partners: greenhouse gas pollution from fossil fuels escalates climate hazards, harms health, and increases the cost of healthcare, electricity, insurance, and food for everyday consumers.

E2I2 remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the public has access to training and tools to support local initiatives that mitigate projected increased environmental challenges and exposure to toxic emissions.

Climate adaptation solutions are most effective when they center equity, community engagement, and are grounded in local knowledge and priorities.

That’s why we are excited to share that the Environmental Equity Information Institute is now listed in the Registry of Adaptation Practitioners, joining organizations across the country delivering climate adaptation services to communities.
