ANNOUNCING: Our 11th Annual BEAT THE HEAT Summer Family Film Series! Saturdays at 3 p.m., join us for these fantastic family films:

July 25th - THE MUPPET MOVIE (1979)
August 1st - HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS
August 8th - ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES
August 15th - WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

Cost of admission is just a monetary donation to a local children’s org! This series is made possible thanks to support from our sponsors: Athens County Children Services and Ohio University Credit Union.

We're still looking for individuals or organizations to sponsor THE MUPPET MOVIE, HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS, and ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES! This is a great way to provide local families low-cost entertainment, increase traffic Uptown during the summer, and support local children’s organizations.

Sponsorship will be $300 and in exchange for your sponsorship, your organization’s logo will be included on various promotional items for the series. You are also invited to table at the event or get involved in other ways such as raffles or email signups. If interested in sponsoring, reach out to us at [email protected]

TOY 5 is still playing at the Athena! We've loved playing more family movies for you all this summer and seeing more kids hanging out at the Athena! And of course no judgement for the older crowd who likes these movies - we welcome you all too :)
