The UGA String Project laucnhed in 2001 with a mission to facilitate teaching experience for UGA Music Education students while providing affordable string education for elementary and middle school-aged children. Enrollment is open to all 8-14 year old children in Athens and surrounding counties.

Registration for the Fall 2024 semester is now open for the UGA String Project. All classes will be held on the UGA campus in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music beginning Wednesday, September 4th. Open to students in 3rd through 5th grade the UGA String Project provides affordable string education for students in Athens, GA and surrounding areas.
