Please share! We are looking for a new receptionist to join our Athens team.
Hours are 8am to 5pm Monday- Thursday.

We are looking for a friendly, team oriented, organized candidate with strong customer service and communication skills to work the front desk assisting patients. Your primary job duties will include checking out patients, answering the telephone, answering patient questions, collecting patient co-pays, processing paperwork, and scheduling appointments. You will also help keep the reception and work areas clean and organized, as well as ensure our clinic provides a welcoming environment for our patients.
Job Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Helping patients
· Collect and post deductible, co-payments and co-insurance amounts from patients
· Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments for patients
· Answer the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner while using proper telephone etiquette
· Respond to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner
· Welcome and greet patients as needed
· Accept new patient information to include insurance cards, ID and intake forms. Scan all information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to the patients chart.
· Print daily schedules and charge slips for each provider scheduled for the day
· Protect patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information (PHI) is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and following HIPAA rules.
· Balancing your cash, check and credits cards at the end of the day against charges and charges taken through out the day.
· Keeping up with per-certifications and patient visits as required by insurance plans.
Experience and Skills
· Customer service attitude
· Attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
· Professional attitude and appearance
•Previous medical receptionist experience is preferred but not required.

After 15 years in separate locations, we are announcing that our specialty practice, Athens Neuro & Balance Rehabilitation, will unite with Athens Physical Therapy at 195 Miles Street, Athens, GA 30601. Athens Neurological Associates is growing and plans to expand their services into our Baxter address. We feel that this is a perfect time to merge all of the therapy services we offer in Athens into one address.
