Flowers In their Hair: A Community Accountability Initiative
We currently work on three levels to achieve this goal. 1- Education through street team work, presentations, and art 2- Provide safer alternatives for individuals downtown by offering to call cabs, walk with them, or call a friend 3- Build up communities and empower individuals to stop the root causes of sexual assault
So, Thanksgiving is next week and that means a lot of y'all be be out of town but how would you feel about our first Safe Space Social during the weekend next week? (Safe Space Socials are we go to a place to hang out, chat, and get to know each-other where we uphold consent culture. This means no touching people without asking first, creepers will be asked to leave, and we activity respect possibility of survivor histories.)
We're having a Lit/Zine making party at Sips (in Normal Town) where we will also discuss the upcoming art-show/fundraiser Saturday at 2! Hope to see y'all there!
