You may have already heard it this morning, but today was my last day on the weekend morning show at WDTN.

I've spent the last two years bringing you the news from the anchor desk and the last five reporting on the latest stories in the Miami Valley. Being a news anchor has been my dream since the 7th grade, and I can proudly say I've acheived that! Now it's time to move on to my next adventure.

I want to thank meteorologist Melissa Barrington for taking me under her wing and making me feel comfortable and welcome. I also want to thank you for trusting me with your news and tuning in and watching each weekend morning. It's been a pleasure starting my day with you.

It's definitely a bittersweet goodbye, but I'm not going far. I'm sure I'll have more on that a little later on.

If you were wondering where I was this weekend, I took a few days off to visit my good friend Kaylee Bowers and my college campus Ohio University in Athens.

It was so fun to go back and see the wonderful place that shaped me into who I am today. I can't believe I waited 7 years to go back!
