Beyond the Bars Presents: Va**ng & Our Youth – Seeing Through the Cloud on July 16, 2026, 6:00- 7:00 PM.

Hosted by the Beyond the Bars Program Planning Committee, this important community conversation will focus on the growing impact of va**ng among young people. Hear from experts with Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center and the Clarke County School District Police Department as they discuss the health risks, legal consequences, warning signs, and long-term effects associated with youth va**ng.

Parents, caregivers, educators, youth advocates, and community members will gain valuable information, practical prevention strategies, and resources to help guide meaningful conversations with young people. Together, we can better understand the realities of va**ng and work to protect the health, well-being, and future of our youth.

The event will be held in the Miriam Moore Community Room, located at 410 McKinley Drive, Athens, GA. Light refreshments will be served.

We had a great time spending the day with the YWCO Girls Camp! Campers had the opportunity to explore different units within ACCPD and came prepared with thoughtful questions that kept our officers on their toes.
