Our regular monthly meetups are on the 1st Saturday of each month, with occasional shifts around holidays and UGA game days. Newcomers are welcome! Feel free to suggest ideas for future topics and speakers, or post your poly-friendly events here or on the Meetup board -- cookouts, hikes, movie nights, etc! We are a family-friendly group. We know that poly people with kids have a very special need to build community and we want to help foster that! In fact, we are looking for someone to be a lead organizer for child-focused events. However, not every meeting will be appropriate for children. Some meeting discussions will be focused on safer s*x, intimacy, relationship conflicts or other adult issues. Please take note of the topic for the monthly meeting to make decisions about your family. These talks will usually happen during the first hour of the meeting and the second half is generally dedicated to socializing. Please feel free to contact the organizers for any further information. It is also our hope that as we build a community of poly families with kids, we can work out rotating childcare among the parents. "Polyamory is the nonpossessive, honest, responsible and ethical philosophy and practice of loving multiple people simultaneously. Polyamory emphasizes consciously choosing how many partners one wishes to be involved with rather than accepting social norms which dictate loving only one person at a time. Polyamory is an umbrella term which integrates traditional multipartner relationship terms with more evolved egalitarian terms. Polyamory embraces s*xual equality and all s*xual orientations towards an expanded circle of spousal intimacy and love.
