Just remember God can use our brokenness in AWESOME ways. God wants ALL His children to know that they are loved by Him! We reach out in love by meeting physical needs as well as Spiritual needs. COOKIE TIME!!

Just a couple days left!!

We are gearing up for our annual Valentines Hand Out. We will be handing out on February 14, 2026 around 4:30 p.m. **TIME CHANGE DUE TO SCHEDULE CONFLICT**

We will meet Friday evening @ 6:30 to bag up cookies. If you would like to drop off any donations then we will be at Ashland First Church of the Nazarene (where we had the Thanksgiving Dinner).

We are asking for donations of homeade or store/bakery bought cookies and new or gently used clean stuffed animals.

We give the cookies to all adults and children who are able to eat them and stuffed animals to all the children and some adults to bring a smile to their face and let them know they are loved. We do this at the shelters and the hotels down in Ashland.

If you are interested in making a donation please let us know by commenting or messaging us on here. Donations can be dropped off to Kristy at Borders Sporting Goods Monday-Friday or we can make arrangements for pickup.

If you would like to make a financial donation the links for cashapp and venmo will be in the comments.

Thank you all so much for all you do to support thus ministry and loving on our community of less fortunate!! God bless you all!!!!

Where: Ashland First Church of the Nazarene
2201 Bath Ave.
Time: 5:30 p.m.

Here's what we know is coming:

Misfits will have all paper goods (plates, napkins, eating utensils, to-go containers, serving gloves), serving utensils, table decorations (because we like for it to be more like a family dinner), coffee, 3 turkeys, ham, candied sweet potatoes, stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, and 2 liters

Angel Gover: Smoked BBQ pulled pork, mashed potatoes (25 servings) , green beans (25 servings) , mac n cheese (25 servings) , cupcakes

Mary Sergent: Ham, mac n cheese, dessert

Brittany Maynard: Corn, dessert

Kristen Francis: turkey and a side

Vicky Lehman: 3 pans of Mashed Potatoes

Sandra Noble: 2 cakes

Lisa Roberson: LG thing of green beans and pan of baked beans

Patty Filbin: rolls/butter and dessert

Michelle Webb: dressing and some 2 liters

We will need some volunteers to help serve and then to help clean up. We have Ember Youth that will be there and several others that have said they will help serve.

We encourage our volunteers that are serving to switch out with others so they can have an opportunity to serve also but so that everyone can get a plate and sit and fellowship with those coming for the dinner as well. We want this to feel like a family dinner for them. I, Misfit Momma, spent time being homeless and holidays are really hard when you aren't surrounded by family so we are their family and we want them to feel it. So come hungry and eager to love on folks!

We are so thankful for everyone that has helped out in years past make this successful and we are thankful for those that will be a part of making this year successful!! God bless you all!!
