soUsign was established in 2009 and has since then served as place for students of SOU's ASL classes, students interested in learning sign language, and community members to come together to learn. soUsign has in the past hosted Q&A panel events, bake sales, dances, and Deaf Ski Trips, petitioned SOU in pursuit of legitimizing the ASL program as a foreign language, in addition to regular meetings.
