I know that automotive electrical systems can be daunting to many people, and I’m here to help. Today’s PSA is that even though your speakers have a (+) and a (-) on them, using the (+) wire does not actually provide a power source for your fuel pump.

Clarkson once said that the only way to get into gearhead heaven was by owning an Alfa Romeo. I’ve never owned one, but I used to work on them for flat rate in the early 2000’s. I’d like to think that qualifies for sainthood. Many of them were still daily driven, parked on the street, a little (or a lot) crusty, not maintained very well, and weren’t worth much.

Thankfully this one is in really nice shape, has low miles, and is garage kept. I hadn’t worked on one in 13 years, and there aren’t many in the area.
