This summer, we partnered with the Kenan Fellows Program to give two amazing educators a behind-the-scenes look at Blue Ridge Power.

Rebekah Morse (3rd grade, Polk Central Elementary) explored our marketing efforts and is bringing branding and storytelling lessons back to her students through a creative design project.

Michael Giddens (7th grade science, Hobbton Middle School) dove into our renewable energy work and will share his solar energy knowledge through hands-on STEM activities.

By connecting educators to our work, we’re helping inspire the next generation of innovators and clean energy leaders. ⚡

Today, we're shining the spotlight on Brooke Dawkins, who has been an integral part of the Marketing and Communications team at Blue Ridge Power for nearly three years.

Meet Arsenio, a Quality Technician III at BRP who brings precision, pride, and a great sense of humor to the job site. Check out his Q&A below!

1. What’s one tool you couldn’t live without on the job site?
- My Burndy Wire Mike! It helps verify the correct ground wire size - critical for both performance and safety.

2. If you had to pick one song to describe your role, what would it be?
- Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. LOL!

3. Cold weather or hot weather, and why?
- Cold all day! I’d rather layer up than look like a shaved bird in the heat. 😂

4. What’s a hidden talent or hobby most people don’t know about you?
- I love to fish for the sport—not the food. Catch and release all day.

5. What’s a proud moment you’ve had at BRP?
- Getting promoted to Quality Technician III and leading two job sites. It’s been an amazing opportunity to grow and prove myself.
