Cedar Lane Elementary

Mrs. Lawler, our new Assistant Principal, will be starting with us on March 16th. Mrs. Lawler shares,

My name is Liz Lawler and I am excited to be the new Assistant Principal serving the Cedar Lane community! I have lived in Ashburn for 15 years, where my daughter attended Trailside Middle School and is getting ready to graduate from Stone Bridge High School this spring. My passion has always been in working with children and I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Wheeling University. I also hold two Master’s degrees from George Mason University, one in Curriculum and Instruction and the other in Education Leadership. In 2006, my teaching career began and I have had the privilege to work with kindergartners and first graders across West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia. I was then able to become the Instructional Technology Facilitator and Dean of Students for the Creighton’s Corner Elementary community right here in Ashburn. I am delighted to have the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge from these experiences to support the continued success of Cedar Lane Elementary and its students

Cedar Lane would like to extend a warm Lion welcome to Rachel Potts, our newest OT. Rachel shares "I’ve been an Occupational Therapist for five years, and this is my second year with LCPS. I’m a proud Loudoun County High School alum, where I played volleyball and now enjoy coaching. In my free time, I love getting lost in a good book, snacking my way around Disney World, cheering on my husband’s baseball team, and spending time outdoors with loved ones. I’m excited to be part of the Cedar Lane community and to support our students and staff!"

What an amazing day today! Students had so much fun raising money for their school and the Glow Run was a huge success!
