This afternoon, Almost Sunday Designs received its 6,000th sale! I am humbled and overjoyed, but especially grateful for all of my loyal customers these past eight years. Thank you!

A few weeks ago, the Make-A-Wish Foundation asked me to make a mobile for a very sick 13 year old girl who can only see the colors black, red and yellow. They were hoping this would help provide visual stimulation for her since she spends much of her time confined to her bed. There is also some pink and green in her room. Molly was desperate to help so she got to work on painting and hand stamping some of the papers. Here is the final result. I am so honored to be able to help bring some joy to this little girl, even in such a small way.

The cold winds are howling, the fire is roaring, the kids are playing and I am snuggled up with a book and some hot tea. Feeling grateful... Happy Sunday everyone!

It has been nearly two years since we've moved into our house and we finally just unpacked our books. I am so happy to have them back on the shelves. I unearthed a treasure I had nearly forgotten about. Years ago, before I had kids, I bought an original 1957 edition of the children's book, Sparkle and Spin by Ann and Paul Rand (the groundbreaking graphic designer). I may need to keep this out of Ben's reach for now, but will share its loveliness with Molly. One of my favorite Paul Rand quotes: "Design is so simple, that's why it's so complicated."
