Filter cleaning is what they requested, and a filter cleaning is precisely what they received. Notably, it lacks a wing nut, which is an interesting design choice aka old school. Nevertheless, the task is now complete, and the filter should function optimally for approximately six months, or until the pool is closed for the season.
My recommendation is to perform filter cleaning at least twice a year, specifically when opening and closing the pool.
