On the second day of , Jafor Saleh, TIFA Project’s program lead for Bangladesh, spoke on the critical role of leadership and collaboration in delivering high-quality TB care. Reflecting on Bangladesh’s journey to strengthen TB services, Jafor highlighted the impact of the National TB Program’s leadership in building provider skills and institutionalizing TB training.

With support from TIFA, Bangladesh’s National Tuberculosis Control Program established an Education and Training Unit and launched a standardized TB training curriculum to bridge gaps in healthcare provider education. Now, with a new Training Management Information System, training resources are easily accessible to policymakers and health leaders—enhancing coordination and the effectiveness of TB services.

As Jafor noted, “Building relationships takes time, but if we take time to connect and collaborate… we will see more and significant progress.”
