Fact: reusables do NOT spread

Fossil fuels have to be extracted, refined, and transported. That all lead to direct emissions. Then it is manufactured into plastic. 🏭
After plastic is used and discarded, it can be recycled, landfilled, or incinerated, which all lead to greenhouse gases.
Landfills threaten soil, air, and water quality.
Recycling has adequate emissions and replaces new plastic, but less than ten percent of millions of tons of plastic are recycled in the US.
In the US, almost 60% of plastic is incinerated. It releases high greenhouse gases, heavy metals, sulfur dioxide, furans, highly toxic dioxins, and matter that might cause cancer. ⚠️
