Bottle forms are one of the most advanced shapes that can be made on the potter's wheel. It needs to be thrown wide enough to create the dramatic belly and then carefully collared in to create that classic narrow neck. The proportions need to be balanced and the curve of the profile needs to be continuous with no major changes in degree. It's a major feat of technical skill, but when you get it right it's so cathartic.

A few of our advanced students have recently challenged themselves with this form and we are so proud of their progress!

Happy Pride! We are late to the party but couldn't resist sharing this rainbow manatee in celebration🏳️‍🌈

We have loved seeing all of the themed pieces being created and the continued efforts of inclusivity in our community. We hope to see you at the remaining local pride events this month!
