A solid three-piece set of Neumann 5-drawer heavy steel photographic slide file cabinets, shown in both a vertical stack orientation and atop a tanker desk side-by-side (last image). Dimensions given are for a single 5-drawer module. The original application of this piece of photography hardware is, for most, of a bygone era. Countless slides still remain, while those still creating and appreciating them are far fewer, given the advent of digital photography. Here, then, are two possible futures for this handsome set: to live another life in the hands of a curatorially-minded film photographer or archivist, or be born again altogether with an improvised application, as is becoming the fate of many an organizational furnishing in the present day (ie: "apothecary" cabinets). Either way, these units were built to survive alongside and ultimately outlast every human technological age, built in an era with manufacturing standards scarcely recognizable in today's stores.

American made, solid cherry construction, with thick beveled removable glass above three dovetailed drawers, opening from both ends by brushed metal pulls. Top drawer is a curio with black velvet lining. Measures 40"w x 40"l x 19"h.

Originally retailing at $2000, this example is well used, containing several light scratches and dings, both on the wood and the glass insert. In addition, a single brass pull is missing, and the top drawer is locked and missing its key (interior is still accessible from beneath the glass). Given these factors, this designer table is being listed at well beneath its original or mint-condition value; an excellent bargain for someone with the expertise to restore this piece to its former glory.
